This afternoon the boys came home from their first day of school and I had brownies and ice-cream waiting for them...boy were they thrilled! I decided to write in this space the boys' answers to my questions about their first day of school. (I mainly did this for their Grandmas and other close relatives.) Some of their responses are comical...
How was your first day of school?
Austin: "Good. Most of my friends were there."
Kennon: "Ok, but some of the kids from last year were kind of being mean."
Ian: "Awesome!" (-Coming from the child who was being so difficult this morning)
What do you think about your homeroom teacher?
Austin: "Boring. He's a new teacher and didn't even have our desks clean. There was syrup
on the corner of my desk and I kept getting it on my elbow."
Kennon: "I don't know. He's a busy man because he gave us all these papers!"
Ian: "She's awesome! She makes a whole bunch of jokes, and I think she's the best!"
What subject do you think will be your favorite?
Austin: "So far, Literacy because it's the easiest and I know the teacher, but the History teacher
was the funniest."
Kennon: "Computer because I get to learn how to use the computer better."
Ian: "Reading because it's easier than math."
What was your favorite part of your school day?
Austin: "Finally going to lunch because I was STARVING!" (He ate breakfast at home)
Kennon: "Seeing my friends from last year."
Ian: "Having an extra recess."
