The boys and I have come to love having scones for an afternoon snack...it is now the first thing they ask for when walking into the house upon arriving home from school
Timmy
Last month my husband's family lost yet another family member to cancer. Even at my age, this was my first time ever witnessing someone dying. It was horrible, yet beautiful at the same time...
It was heart breaking to see him suffer in pain, to know his life here on earth was to end very soon at such a young age of 52, and to see his loved ones hurting...he was the baby of the family of 9 children. He had only found out he had cancer two months prior to his passing.
There was beauty in his final days -to see his soul at peace and he didn't show fear in dying, he took responsibility for decisions he had made during his life time, as I'm sure or at least would think most people do when they take the time to reflect on their past, and to bring his children closer to our family as a whole was a blessing. He was more than ready to go home to be with his Lord because at one point he saw Angels and grabbed a hold of one, then became so disappointed that the Angel got away from him, then he asked when the Lord was going to send an Angel to take him home, which was beautiful to see someone still cling to their faith on their final day.

Rest in peace Timmy
Diane Keaton
Diane Keaton is one of my favorite actresses due to the fact that she always remains true to herself. She doesn't seem to let Hollywood pressure her into being someone she's not. Today I came across a magazine that had interviewed her and I just wanted to share one of her quotes that I completely agree with...
"You have to live life all the way, you know? Take risks. Do things you can't imagine. 'Cause, hey, why not, right?" -Diane Keaton
