My Summer Mornings

This summer all three of my boys have been sleeping in longer, so I've been enjoying the quietness, the fresh morning air, and a good cup of coffee....

The boys fell asleep watching a movie lastnight

I like a little coffee with my creamer, lol.

A Nice Surprise

Anyone who truly knows our boys will know that Austin and Kennon don't typically get along...they tend to get on each others nerves more than what I'd call normal for siblings, so you can now see why I was so surprised by what I had seen when I arrived home from running errands
They were actually being civil to each other AND playing a game together that I've never even seen them play

Scooter Fun

All the kiddos had a great time riding scooters until the rain and lightning came

Leo turns 1!

Our fur-baby Leo recently turned 1 years old. So, I figured I would make him some homemade doggie treats, and my husband wanted to give him steak for dinner, but we know who he really wanted it for, lol!

And they loved them!

Water Balloon Fight!

Our boys and the neighbor's children had a great time having a water balloon fight this afternoon.

Funnel Cakes

My husband and sons are HUGE fans of funnel cakes, so when I happened to come across a recipe, I knew I had to try making them for my family. It was unanimous, they were awesome!

 Frying the batter...

 Adding the sweetness...

Enjoying!
This was Kennon's second serving of funnel cake, so yes, they were that good!

Rain!

Like most of the country, it's been hot and very dry here in Colorado. In fact the three years that we've lived here I don't recall having this many wildfires in one summer and the summer has only begun! I'm thankful for all the firefighters out there battling these wildfires and I hope things begin to slow down, so they too could enjoy the summer with their families.

Here's Kennon holding Mattie while sitting on our front porch, both enjoying to cooler weather. And Mattie throws a fit if we're out on the front porch without her, lol!
And our wild Ian was so excited about the rain that he decided to play in it...

But prior to the rain, Leo decided to get up on the couch to "cuddle" with Ian. Well, actually the thunder was scaring Leo, lol!
